A friend from church had a yard sale, her husband passed about three years ago and she felt it was time for his stuff to find new homes where they would be appreciated and used. She also was getting rid of her canning item. We picked up all this and more for $160, because she just wanted to see it be used rather then rot in her sheds.

Make sure that linseedoil is pure, if it's not throw it away.

Those jerricans thooooooo

I think most of the boiled linseeds have drying agents in them. Still useful for non food grade wood

I looked it up by the CAS # and didn't see anything else with it but either way we don't plan on using it as food grade just for protecting wood that goes in the ground as we build infrastructure and definitely not on anything near our garden or that will be in chewing distance of livestock.

Yes the jerricans were the original reason we went to check out her garage sale beyond just supporting friends. One is actually a mess kit, has three containers inside of it with serving utensils.

Wow

That's wonderful how it worked out for the both of you

Score! You’d be spending $160 for just a few of those jerry cans these days. Make sure you date them when you fill!

Oh yeah, we're going to refinish the inside of them and then use them as our monthly rotating emergency fuel supply. One needs to have a few spots on the bottom welded but for the most part they're in really good shape for the age of them.
