I keep hoping they actually will shut it down for a bit. Congress is required to meet for at least two weeks a year, according to the US Constitution. They should go home to their regular jobs for a while. Maybe they should be limited to only two weeks as a Congress Critter, and spend the rest of the year as corporate whores elsewhere for the rest of the year. 😉
