Deer season opens tomorrow.
Took my single shot 12 gauge out of the back truck seat, and put the 30-30 in it's place.

My god, thatβs pretty!
Good luck.
π«‘ May your freezer soon be full!
That's the problem. It's already filled to the brim. We just butchered a steer.
I'll have to make some room, or give away some meat, or make biltong.
That is a gorgeous rifle
Very nice!
Just out of curiosity.
Can you please explain the benefits if having a single shot 12 gauge shotgun vs a tube / magazine fed pump-action or semi-auto shotgun?
It's simple to load and unload.
It's versatile. I carry a pouch of assorted shotgun shells, bird shot for small game, no. 4 buckshot for coyotes and armadillos, 00 buckshot for social occasions, and a chamber adapter so I can shoot .22 lr.
And, very importantly, it's cheap, so I don't care if it gets banged around in the truck.
I didn't think it would have so many uses. I now somewhat respect the single shot shotgun more now, because of you. Kudos.
good luck tomorrow. what's the eye relief on that scope!?
Intermediate eye relief, something like 12 to 14 inches
Nice setup. Iβve got one similar to it.
