Yup, did!

- Nostr is faster.

- I can use different clients without OAuth shenanigans.

- There are valuable bridges (mainly RSS and mostr.pub) into and out of Nostr

- Phone (Amethyst, Primal), desktop (Snort, Primal, Habla, ...), commandline (noscl) - and if I wanted to I could probably write one for the PSVita using the vitasdk. xD

- Damn simple structure. other than the secp library to en-/decode bech32, you can write a Nostr client from scratch in literal minutes.

So why should I let Mastodon keep pooping copies of remote media onto my server and consume RAM when I don't even use it anymore? I can do the same, and more, with Nostr. Therefore, bye bye Mastodon!

- #Mastodon (#Fediverse)

- #Nostr

- and after? (what is the limit of Nostr if already exists)

Honestly, I don't know. I come up with loads of stupid ideas - but none are as genious as the folks that made #Nostr and the #Fediverse - so I really don't know.

But I can definitively see a stronger interop with overlay networks like #tor and #i2p in the future as the clearnet becomes more and more a hotspot of surveiliance. I mean take a look at Google's push for Web-DRM (Web Environment Integrity, or something). So I believe the open-web could move into an overlay.

Other than that... No idea. o.o

TLDR:

🙋‍♀️ 🏃 🤡
