Apparently this guy has just deleted his Mastodon server.

Yup, did!

- Nostr is faster.

- I can use different clients without OAuth shenanigans.

- There are valuable bridges (mainly RSS and mostr.pub) into and out of Nostr

- Phone (Amethyst, Primal), desktop (Snort, Primal, Habla, ...), commandline (noscl) - and if I wanted to I could probably write one for the PSVita using the vitasdk. xD

- Damn simple structure. other than the secp library to en-/decode bech32, you can write a Nostr client from scratch in literal minutes.

So why should I let Mastodon keep pooping copies of remote media onto my server and consume RAM when I don't even use it anymore? I can do the same, and more, with Nostr. Therefore, bye bye Mastodon!

TLDR:

🙋‍♀️ 🏃 🤡

Based and nostrpilled!

I wonder what other Mastodon users will think of this.

I don't think deleting a nostr relay will work the same
