Hi Max and nostr:npub1f0dg5rn79eqrt0qyken4a447t20s5tfh5vhe06hay2x69u92a3lqx5jzum . I'm a public school teacher in Switzerland and I fully agree with Max. It's all about obedience and children learn suprisingly little. Which is why I can't do this job anymore and will quit in 1 month. In my opinion, the best way to understand the public school system and why it doesn't work is by comparing it to the fundamentely different education systems like for example homeschooling (check out the book of the 12 yo Cole Summers "Don't tell me I can't") and democratic schools like Sudbury Valley School (check out Peter Grays book "Free to learn"). This 2 books helped me to see more clearly. Greetings, Simon

Good to hear your jumping off that system.
Education Free and Compulsory by Murray Rothbard is also great on this topic.
