I've been thinking a lot about my nearly 15 years away from the Greek Orthodox Church.

I've come to this conclusion - I don't know if I would have the same ethical values without that upbringing. It's easy to think I would when I had that foundation since birth, but I no longer think it's that simple.

I've been around a lot of secular people. Not all, but many are in a dark place. People who are missing something from their lives. Ones who didn't have an upbringing similar to mine.

I've begun to wonder if these people would benefit from religion in their lives. Some type of positive power to pull them out of the darkness.

I'm not saying I've found Jesus. I haven't.

But more and more I want to be around the people who have.

Because I can't really be around these other people any more. My wife & I have cut most of them out of our lives at this point.

We prefer to spend our time around positive people who are working on building better lives. Building families. Nearly all of them are religious.

We're both very logical people. Religion and logic were like oil and water to me.

But when I look at the state of the world, it's not hard to see the positive impact religion can have on people. That's a very logical conclusion I'm coming to.

Also, I miss a lot of the Greek cultural stuff that I grew up, and it's intertwined with the church. It would be strange, but I'm accepting the idea that returning there, even as someone who isn't religious, feels more right than not going.

Still working through this but wanted to share.

Because bitcoiners are how I got here. The ones having families, going to church, and being decent human beings. Those are the people I want to be around.

The alternative is despair and darkness, and I am not going down that road.

✌️🧡

Watch "The Chosen" (Season 1, episode 1) and see how you feel. Maybe this monumental series about Jesus is also for your. For my wife and myself like going to church but better, since it's not boring and really brings us closer to Jesus.

Very early GM Nostr ☕️🌝💜

This ain’t the sun.

That’s still the moon.

Incredible how light it is.

Couldn’t sleep. Went outside.

Thinking out loud. Speaking to Neo. Or leaving a signal…

You choose.

We are witnessing humanity evolving into two distinct species.

Living in two different worlds.

Or realities.

It’s happening at full speed.

There’s Fiat land and Bitcoin world.

Two parallel systems.

Two different breeds.

Different food.

In Fiat land you eat processed garbage and call it nutrition.

In Bitcoin World you eat real food meat, eggs, butter, local, alive.

Different medicine.

In Fiat land you treat symptoms.

In Bitcoin world you heal causes.

Different education.

In Fiat land they teach obedience and debt.

In Bitcoin world we teach freedom, code, love, self sovereignty and critical thought.

Different technology.

In Fiat land everything is centralized, censored, rented.

In Bitcoin world it’s open source, sovereign, owned.

Different money.

Fiat land works for paper melting in your hands.

Bitcoin world works for energy stored in time.

Different housing.

In Fiat land you rent from banks.

In Bitcoin world you build with own time&energy.

Different justice.

In Fiat land rules serve rulers.

In Bitcoin World rules serve truth.

Different consumption.

In Fiat land everything breaks fast and so do people.

In Bitcoin world we build things that last based on PoW.

Different culture.

In Fiat land you fit in.

In Bitcoin world you stand out.

Different mobility.

In Fiat land your passport defines your freedom.

In Bitcoin world your seed phrase travels the world.

Different families.

In Fiat land the state replaces parents to raise sheeps.

In Bitcoin World families raise lions&wolves.

Different art.

In Fiat land gatekeepers own your work.

In Bitcoin world value flows directly from creator to pleb.

Different governance.

In Fiat land politics divide.

In Bitcoin world consensus unites & the free market gets to decide.

Different energy.

In Fiat land waste is normal.

In Bitcoin world waste becomes wealth.

The list goes on and on and on…

I could write forever but my thumb starts to hurt.

Different values. Different mindsets. Different incentives.

Different outcomes.

Two parallel worlds…

on the same planet.

The one is dying.

The other one is rising.

Did you know you can just create your own reality?

Live free…Neo.

Wow. Beautifully written.

The books Fiat Food and Sacred Cow, along with Paul Saladino's videos, opened my eyes about food. It feels like I just escaped a cult of the vegetables. And it feels great eating tons of meat & dairy, since my body definitely needs more of that.

At the same time I'm stunned and amazed how completely blindsided I was. Now I’m wondering, what other blind spots do I have?

What have been your biggest blind spots—moments where you woke up and thought, "How did I miss that?"

Hi Paul. I saw you first on the what is money podcast. Your honesty and somehow relaxed energy was inspiring. I'm always happy to read your posts. So, thanks for sharing your thoughts!

Beautifully put. I just thought tonight, before I create an alternative (to the public schools in my area), I wish to forgive & find peace first with the public school system before I leave it. So that after I'm not building with anger and against, but for (ideals) and with peace. Solid ground with hopefully a touch of grace.

Hi Max and nostr:nprofile1q9phwue69uhnyamcw5engve4x35k6vmv093kvmtkw36nymmnwe5kyer2vdux2mrcvdcxxumvwd6rwem8x438xutrxfehvut5x3ckgtn0de5k7mspzemhxue69uhkzarvv9ejumn0wd68ytnvv9hxgqpqf0dg5rn79eqrt0qyken4a447t20s5tfh5vhe06hay2x69u92a3lq8nv9ul . I'm a public school teacher in Switzerland and I fully agree with Max. It's all about obedience and children learn suprisingly little. Which is why I can't do this job anymore and will quit in 1 month. In my opinion, the best way to understand the public school system and why it doesn't work is by comparing it to the fundamentely different education systems like for example homeschooling (check out the book of the 12 yo Cole Summers "Don't tell me I can't") and democratic schools like Sudbury Valley School (check out Peter Grays book "Free to learn"). This 2 books helped me to see more clearly. Greetings, Simon

Hi Nostr. I'm very inspired by the energy of you all here. Since everyone can bring something to Nostr, I offer my help if you want to go on a cycling adventure in Europe. We did a 4 month trip from Switzerland to Portugal along the "Eurovelo" routes and will go again from Sweden to Greece. We use cycle.travel for navigation (one guy did it all by himself and it is incredible!). Long distance cycling is fantastic if you want to give yourself a break, have an adventure, look for a new place to live and get a feeling for other cultures. Some cycle super fast, we take it easy with lots of breaks for coffee, cakes and croissants. So everyone does it differently, in his own way.
