I was one of those kids.

When my kids asked me why, I gave them detailed responses. They then stopped asking me why, which was a little sad.

My daughter still does it, but she's just trolling me

I love how you raise your children. 🙌🧡

We've done things that we've regretted later, but overall I'm pretty happy with the path we've taken.

They're good kids. I just wish they understood Bitcoin.

They will through osmosis. I know this much my two kids inherited some money from their fathers, father and put it straight into bitcoin. So they will get it and be thankful for you for the rest of their lives! 🙏😎🧡🧡🧡

I hope so.

I know that they'll make mistakes. I just hope that they make small ones & learn from them.

💪🧡

That’s life!

Literally by its very definition. Im sure you guys teach them to live light and love large…it’s all about finding joy in the miracle of being and remaining curious…the rest will follow Brisket Snow - having solid parents is the greatest gift a child can have these days. Everything else is just filler 🙌💪🙏🧡

Money is probably boring to kids. It seems you have to be near your 30s and older to care about that sort of thing.

Yeah - their time preference is pretty high right now.

My folks forced me to save from my teen jobs & I resented them for doing that. I don't want to inflict that same sort of crap on them. I want to respect their property, privacy & preferences, particularly now that they're becoming adults.

Ha… same childhood experience same parenting outcome. My mum used to say, “because why is a crooked letter and a Is no better” it infuriated me. So I promised myself that I’d always give clear and detailed explanations to my kids for everything they ever asked about… they stopped asking pretty quickly 🤣 … maybe clear and ‘concise’ not ‘detailed’ was the correct way to go. 🤷‍♀️

I've always tried not to go to the other extreme of my parents approach. Some patterns & cycles are hard to break though.

You do your best & iterate as you're going.

You gotta have some shit to work out later in life though, right? 🤣

🤣yeah, the parenting bits I screw up, I figure are either helping my kids build resilience or giving their screwed adult selves someone to blame or better still something to work on.

I wouldn’t be half the person I am today if my parents had been great parents.

I sometimes wonder if trying to be a great parent is doing my kids a disservice.

Hard to say as the bad parenting model either makes or breaks the kids. It made me but it broke my brothers.

I think it could make my daughter even more awesome but it could break my son… but then again, if my hubby and I were lousy parents it could provide an opportunity for my son to step up and shine.
