Wait what's causing this?
A large portion of the accounts on Twitter are bots or purposefully fed into the algorithm based on content. Honestly, probably the majority of accounts you interact with fit one of these categories.

Way too many bots on Twitter.
Is this a bunch of bots whose algorithm is not functioning as expected? Did X do something to interrupt their flow?
It is a bunch of bots, but it isn't anything X did. The bots are feeding tweets into chatgpt (or similar) and autoposting what they get as a response. There are several things that chatgpt won't give you a response for, and instead kicks out the "I can't respond" response.
Since they're all just bots they are autoposting the error messages.

my first interaction with a bot was on #NOSTR. Until we have to pay to post they'll be around I imagine.
Bot are not bad in general. There is many very useful ones. The difference between the ones here and the ones on X is the goal and the function they have.
Most bot on X are fake people and influencers made to create high level engagement.
Here (at least for what I saw until now) most of them are like tools, and you can say immediately they are bot.
