Truth by itself can do the work. It doesn't have to be unkind.

The unavoidable hurt comes from when the truth shatters a kind lie… that in itself can feel like unkind truth, even if it’s delivered gently.
I get that subjective perspective. I am just advocating for pure truth, if the person is triggered by pure truth that is delivered with the right intent and consideration, then they have to do the growing up.
