Your Lightning address that's also your email address.

Is that even technically possible?

Possible, email use different port from http/https. Lightning address only formatting web server request:

me@example.com => https://example.com/.well-known/lnurlp/me

Be cool if you could. Or maybe it's a feature most people don't want (in case of too much email spam)

Well, yes you could be targeted easily with more spam.

Just a bit technical for now, if you want to get same email address and lightning address then you need at least to:

1. Host your own email address server (not using email provider)

2. Host your own Lightning Node, and lightning address server

3. Have your own domain

Unless in the future, popular provider like Gmail, Protonmail, Tutanota also gives us Lightning address as Wallet services 😄

I’m a Proton customer so would be happy if they did.

Haha, yeah, maybe you can try to shill them to implement lightning. Then, user can also easily pay proton using lightning.

Don't see why not. They already accept bitcoin as payment.

Their strapline is "Welcome to a better internet where privacy and freedom come first" so fits perfectly

#[2] is working on it for @Nostrplebs.com domains

Not surprised. He’s relentless 🔥

Why not? E-Mail uses DNS MX entry, can be an entirely different server!

You could even create a service where you get access to someone (via email) if you pay them (via Lightning)

If somebody builds this, I will zap them until my wallet is empty…
