No

Thank you fren πŸ«‚πŸ₯³πŸš€

Nope.

I knew you'd stick by me. πŸ«‚πŸ’ͺπŸ’•

No, but how come?

To begin with. How he ran Twitter, and how Blucry is being handled. Just for starters.

Sorry brother, a little triggered at the moment. πŸ™

Nothing to be sorry about at all. Was just curious to know something I didn't maybe.

About Twitter, surely he could handle it better probably, but I would never been in his place, for sure when ihe created it didn't think it would reach what it did. And for sure he made many mistakes during the journey, but inn the end, twitter made history.

For what I know, but not sure, he started the project of Bluesky before giving BTC to fiatjaf for developing nostr more, and then he focused more on it. But still I completely agree Bluesky is a complete failure and a waste of time energy.

In the end I see his behaviour net positive for both nostr and bitcoin ecosystem, so I have a positive thoughts still about him.. but I learned we should not make heroes that we'll have to kill one day.

Will take a read, thanks πŸ€™πŸΌπŸ«‚

I don't think jack is a fraud.

I just think he's someone that belives in humanity and our instrinsic nature to do good.

But that can lead to being some what niaive about the other side of our nature.

Our ability to do bad things.

Belliving that people are basiccly good can be exploited and make us not realise we are being lied to and manipulated.

That became obvious during the joe rogan debate with Tim Pool.

It was plain to see the people around him were manipulating infomatiom to make him think and then act in ways beneficial to thier cause.

The constant battle in the human soul between in group and out group preferences is what truely drives humanity forward.

Not the side we pick.

And sometimes we forget the cost.

Despite it being so high.

I'm not interested in "sides"., and not picking one. I'm an AnCap. You do you, and I'll do me.

It might seem crazy, but I do have a sense of ppl. Just like I know that Bill Gates is evil, without any actual proof. I know that Jack isn't any good either.

I hope I'm wrong. But I doubt I will be.

I hope you didn't misundertand, I'm not talking about pplitical "sides".

Just the duality of human nature and how it can used and manipulated by others for an agenda.

No worries friend. And I get your point. πŸ«‚

I'll still buy your soap, but I disagree with this note. Nostr wouldn't exist without him.

You might want to listen to citadel dispatch 150. Despite his distaste for being wished good morning I think his heart is in the right place.

I certainly appreciate you. But saying Nostr wouldn't exist without him is like saying Bitcoin wouldn't exist without Saylor.

That's not a good comparison.

Jack funded the first two nostr conferences himself (not sure about the third) and is the primary (nearly only) donor to opensats last I checked.

He also speaks publicly about it every chance he gets.

Saylor hasn't put a cent towards bitcoin development and he surely gets paid for appearing at conferences.

How much is Jack worth?

How much has he given?

What is that compared as a % to his worth?

It's less than .002% of his worth. It's like me having five hundred dollars in my pocket, and giving you a penny. Wow. I contributed.

He's buying good will.

This is the same argument leftists make about the rich paying their "fair share". It's not our job to allocate his capital. He earned it.

The fact remains that he has been a tremendous help in bootstrapping a technology that may still fail. He believes in it.

If you are interested in hearing how much he cares, check out the podcast I mentioned. He acknowledges he made mistakes in the past and he explains why in detail.

I don't have anything else to add.

Then if he's made mistakes, why does he push Blue cry? And I'm definitely not a lefty.

LISTEN TO THE PODCAST

I've listened to him. I don't need to listen, when I see someone's actions.

I do what I say I'll do. He doesn't.

Hey so I’m just jumping in here to let you know that Jack doesn’t push BlueSky since he found now, sourcenode is telling you to listen bc he talks about that, just like he’s talked about that on previous podcasts.. second chances are awesome.

Brooo if you think that’s nostr:npub1sg6plzptd64u62a878hep2kev88swjh3tw00gjsfl8f237lmu63q0uf63m supporting BlueSky then you just don’t know Jack very well lmaoooooo

Nature is the badge of approval of it being completely captured

He’s shitposting n he’s so good some people can’t tell

How well do you know him?

As much as you can know someone from what they share n post on nostr & what they tell you about themselves on podcasts

Agree. I obviously have a different perspective than you. 🀷

I just listened to him the other day with Odell, and he was pushing Blucry

You sure? I must’ve missed it I’m willing to go back n listen to the whole thing unless you have an idea of the timestamp you heard it at

Can't give you timestamp. Was in the past week with Odell.

Believe it was a Citadel Dispatch episode

If I lose you as a customer. I will hate that.

But truth needs to be spoken.

Thanks for the suggested pod, might have to check that soon as I’ve been curious to hear more of his perspective on this.

Just realized this was a new ep. Cool! Having a listen now

It's hard to say my thoughts on Jack.

I understand people change, and genuinely do but it's always hard to say with notable people, if they're being honest, or not.

I think what Jack does is good but his previous record at twitter might make one skeptical.

Maybe he's repenting, maybe he's covering his ass from the mob, who knows?

But I genuinely hope that he has changed into someone that stands for principles of liberty, and freedom unwaveringly.

I hope so.

HUE MEAN THE GUY WHOSE COMPANY TUTNED INTO FBISTR?

Yeah. That guy. ,🀷

You have instincts for a reason.

I would recommend listening to your instincts, even if they may not be understood.
