Since apparently “knowingly” failing to add KYC to an open cryptocurrency protocol is illegal now, this is my formal proposal - let’s add KYC to bitcoin and lightning! Since it only happens if everyone in an international group of people agrees to it, I look forward to all Americans “knowingly” supporting this proposal and everyone else laughing and ignoring it.

They have the ability to coerce other countries to follow suite. Bitcoin would probably be protected by Russia alone.

At least that ability to coerce is dwindling.
