Then investing time and effort into giving kind sincere well thought out responses that helps improve the quality of life for her and her husband. Only to suddenly be ghosted whether intentional, or unintentional. Is a slap in the face and a swift kick to the balls.

I don't want to make the effort if it is not reciprocated. I've already sworn off having any friendships, because of being used and stabbed in the back.
