Every birthday, my children receive (100k sats x age) to their own SATSCARD.
By the time they are 18 they will each have 0.171 #bitcoin.
I have a feeling it’s going to get real expensive in dollar terms the older they get. At some point they will get upgraded to a full-fledged signing device, long before they turn 18.
Any one else do something similar for their kids?

Kinda, I stack for the family currently. My daughter is 6 and has a lighting address, we talk about it everyday, not the technical side just counting for now. The plan is for her to have cash, lighting, and a hard wallet as she grows up.

I valued my ‘gift’ in fiat terms but much prefer your idea of a fixed amount of sats each year. My daughter is only 2 so I can change now and still have quite a few years to implement.
Outside of that I just take all the fiat gifts to her for birthday / holidays / baptism and buy Bitcoin with it, transferring to her own wallet I’ve created for her.
