What is your favourite Nostr client? (asking for a friend. )

I’ve been using Damus, I like it.

I have Primal too, I like a few features it has but can’t use the wallet from Canada.

Ditto on desktop is favorite until Notedeck is realised.

I concur.

Android user so Amethyst for mobile.

Amethyst and Yakihonne

#yakihonne looks amazing

Yakihonne also has an internal custodial wallet for #zaps

I saw that but was able to zap from wallet of Satoshi, which I use for Damus.

How can you not use the wallet? They have different app version?

When I try to activate it, I fill it all out then get a pop up that says it’s not available from my country at this time.

Amethyst on Android, Nostur on iOS

Trying out Nostur, impressed by Yakihonne mobile

Amethyst and Noesttr.

I'm currently using Primal but Amethyst is by far my favorite. I miss my Pixel. 🥲

You should be able to use #zeus wallet from Canada. It's fully custodial and gives you an ln address like yourname@zeuspay.me or whatever

I can use a bunch of different wallets, no problem. The issue is with the app not allowing me to ‘activate’ one. I can’t link or select an existing wallet and I cannot make a new one from Canada.

Idk about primal. In nostrudel, you don't need to "link" the wallet in any way, you just make your address in zeus, paste it into nostrudel, and there you go. I made an error in my previous reply, zeus if fully self-custody, it is a non-custodial wallet, you hold the keys.

The user experience of Amethyst is impressive in comparison with anything out there. Additionally, Amethyst empowers users with best in class security (Amber, TOR, both optional).

Primal IMO is the worst in terms of what is in the back end, censors posts and npubs, no OpSec and custodial built in wallet, no support for Amber.

In Primal for mobile you add your nsec in the app directly instead of using Amber or an alternative, that is already a no no, not your keys not your coins, not your nsec not your #Nostr account. It is quite odd that despite the known opsec of #Bitcoin of not sharing your private key PR using it in any app without a hardware wallet, people just go and share the $Nostr private key with Primal as if it is okay... Too much trust. The censorship for me is enough yo stay away but the app OpSec is awful

Interesting info. .. learning lots along the way. 😀
