btw, see this party divide? This is the kind of thing the American Party would probably ruin. Republicans suck, but not quite as much as our openly socialist lawmakers.
I doubt half of the people knew what they were voting for. The Republicans did it to keep a campaign promise that was an easy get.
The Democrats opposed it because it was a Republican bill.
