can I has hardpress to open a new composition screen with the nostr: for the quote already there
depends if we want to count quoted reposts separately from regular posts. If we want them distinct then we will need a quote repost kind.
quote repost is kind 1, plus an e tag of the quoted event; no need to change anything imo
this is a hack. This would look like a reply in many clients including damus.
Now that we have nostr:nevent … I may actually consider doing it this way. But I also kind want it to be a different kind like kind 6.

I think its also nice for any user to be able to read the quoted posts as it often frames the content of the post based on that user's thoughts and brings a diff perspective to the table - but it doesn't have to be the way twitter does it

I think Damus has had it since the beginning, just not as a separate button. Have to enter the text for your quote note, then specify @noteid
