I’m not sure why, but my following list dropped by a lot. I’m not sure why. I was following around 250 or so and now it is showing only 75.
I recently offloaded my Damus app on my iPhone to try and free up some storage, and I’m not sure if that was the cause of this. I may be overlooking something else.

I see it! But I follow the #asknostr hashtag and see all posts with the tag, so it doesn’t necessarily help identify an issue with your following/follower lists. I’ve heard of peoples’ following lists or relay configurations getting mixed up when switching clients. I believe there’s a tool to restore some of it… but man I can’t remember it for the life of me
I believe that you can connect to
wss://hist.nostr.land and this can help but thats kind of a pre following list collapse

After you add this relay do you need to do anything else? Or does it sorta just store your following list in case of emergency?

Maybe just run through your followers list and refollow anyone you want to?

I can see it. There is something about updates, or even merely switching clients that can get your following list sideways. It is like a necessary oil/filter change, just check your lists occasionally, and please don’t leave us.

It is not.
It is sheer developer incompetence and the issues with relay reliability on most ones
That feels harsh on the devs. Without them slogging away, for free, we wouldn’t even have #nostr. I appreciate them, despite bugs. If you want perfection, get on Fakebook…just kidding,I’d rather scrape my face off with my unvarnished fingernails.
A very simple fix exists
Store a copy of the follow list locally and don’t accept any older than that from relays
Reduces rollback impact significantly
