Haha, yes eventually it pays off tho.. it takes a while to install arch the first time, but Ubuntu ultimately takes *more time by breaking every upgrade cycle and/or littering your system with weird PPAs that don't work cause the libraries are out of date. 😎. Some of my arch installs have lasted well over 10 years and outlast their underlying hardware.
