YES!!! First good laid-out backflip this season!

Back tumbling is scary because to do it right, you have to keep your eyes forward as long as you can--while jumping backwards to what feels like your death.

Takes SO MUCH mental effort to shake off the rust and fear and make that blind leap of faith.

But it's f'n amazing when you hit that flexed, open position in the air and you just hold it and let physics does its thing.

Awesome flip Bro! 🤜🏼⚡️🤛🏼

Thanks! That laid-out back flip is one of my favorite skills, ever. I love that I can still do it.

I felt the mental effort of letting go just from seeing the video 😲

Next Nostrica, I’ll have to try it … at the pool (if Rockstar ever throws a pool party again 😂)

Nice slo-mo! Cooler knowing we just met in person 🤙

I grew up watching gymnastics during the Olympics but it took taking my daughter to her gymnastics class to really appreciate how insanely scary and athletic it is.

I reassure my gymnasts all the time that I was scared of EVERY trick I had.

I love the sport so much for the mental discipline it teaches kids. "It's scary but you've trained in all the phases leading up to this. Focus. Trust your training. Trust your body. Execute." And then their eyes light up when they do it!

There's just nothing else like it. Nothing. All my success in my adult life came from the mental strength I built in the gymnastics gym.

I put my daughters in sports because of the mental discipline you learn along the way. Serves you well later in life.

💯

Very cool! 🤙🏻

💜🫂

so so so amazing bro 🫂

Fun. I was a springboard diver in high school and loved that feeling of flying straight flips give you.

I tried walking onto the diving team in college. The coach was desperate for more male divers and was willing to try to start from the beginning with me.

Total disaster. Head-first back dives? Nope. Gymnast instincts were not going to allow that!

Lol…I hear ya. I only do trampoline tricks into a foam pit.

Foam pit much more forgiving than a mat when your 1 summersault, 2 twists turns out to be 1.25 summersaults and 2.25 twists :)
