#[0],

This is what came to mind while listening to you speculate on plumbing in a hose bib to quench #biochar from the bottom.

It works. It was a little slower than I had hoped, but I was using gravity flow from another tank. Should work better if used on a pressurized faucet. I can, however, report that the 3/4" valve is too small to effectively drain the barrel, clogs up immediately.

Here is the finished product. My limiting factor right now is the crushing stage. Just threw a few inches into a tub and smashed it with a tamping rod.

I 100% agree with the drainage

God mad AF with it and left it sit overnight the next morning still full of water

Well after cussing at it for a minute I started poking a heavy wire in it and a few big chunks came out I flowed quite well for a few mins then slowed it was a chunk right at the valve

My thought on the waiting is that it settled out to the bottom for the most part and made a char bed (kinda like a grain bed when filtering beer wort in to boil kettle) that made its own filter with all the char

I only had to poke the wire a few times and it drained in about an hour

Hope this helps
