Tips for men initiating contact with women: state your intention right away. Reveal something. Otherwise you’re in an energy of taking. Asking a question without stating an intention means there is no frame for her to decide whether or not it feels right to answer.

How about, “I was over there and couldn’t stop looking at you. You are stunning. I just had to introduce myself. Is that ok?”

“I’m here because x, y, z… and we’re doing a, b, c. What about you?…

But she would have to be stunning, like she was all dolled up and I recognized her effort and creativity. If she was attractive but just jeans, t-shirt, crocs 😹 or whatever casual situation, maybe “really cute” would be more authentic.
