Look up from gazing at your navel 💖

To me, the secret is to treat my physical body kind of like a toddler. Have I had enough water? Healthy food? Physical and social activities to tire me out? Have I been watching things that will give me nightmares? Am I sleeping enough or two much? Have I been sober and away from toxic chemicals?

Once those things are taken care of problems either resolve, or become more obvious so you can take action to resolve them. Without taking care of those basic things, our nervous system is kind of overwhelmed constantly with warning alarms blaring that we don't understand. Generally speaking, the present moment is perfectly adequate. In some situations it's not, and in those situations call for help, but usually we aren't in those situations. Usually as Seneca says we suffer more in imagination than in reality.
