Can we extend NIP-56 to include a "shitcoiner" tag?

To be fair about 40% of Nostr Users are Monero users, or Monero sympathetic.

Also becomes problematic for the platform to scale to Fiat users, and everyone else, etc.

But yeah, If you want to make everyone who believe in different trade-off your enemy for no reason by all means go ahead.

Bitcoin is an idea, and a technology, not a Religion.

Well, you kind of implicated monero as a shitcoin; not me. Stop hitting yourself!

Monero is not a shitcoin but the ignorant of The Bunch say it is when it clearly isn't.

Even Michael Saylor acknowledges it, and many other notable Bitcoin relevant people.

Monero is a symbiotic tool along with Bitcoin to help people regain their freedom.

An extensible system to tag users with notes for personal use would be nice. That way if someone is always changing name or avatar you can at least have a way to easily identify them. Or if someone has done something especially kind (or mean) in the past you can leave a reminder for yourself.

Reposting this even though you're an abusive dick that has me muted

Actually an example of where it would be useful

It's part of the existing nips that you can add a nickname to any user you put in a list, but I haven't seen that functionality anywhere.

But beyond that, I don't think anyone does things like tagging or categorizing npubs like what you're saying.

Hopefully it gets implemented.

I've been saying this for a while but you have me muted

Lists exist too.

In this case Rich Nost is referring to is reporting, which essentially is a Quasi-Censorship tool.

He wants an implementation where someone who likes another or multiple cryptocurrency technologies should be Censored, and grouped in with malicious, and evil people like illicit porn producers, spammers, and balant scammers.

Nostr is an open protocol, eventually we will have fiat enjoyers on here, and that will make Nostr better 😃 because then we are on an even playing field where fiat can't use tools of censorship to stop Sovereignty advocate voices.

People being able to tag each other and sometimes filter based on the tags is no worse than people being able to mute each other

We need a culture shift in favor of trying to have time for people, not permanently muting hand-operated npubs

Devs should also priorize labeling over filtering. Bitcoiners who mute me for using other coins piss me off; bitcoiners who put a red box around all my posts on their screen would still be weird, but not isolating

All the existing interfaces for using lists I've tried don't work well. Lists would be great if integrated into the client. Instead of having one follow list I could have several for different purposes. This could go a long way to recreating what was possible with Google circles, which I would love to see.
