OK there has to be some kind of bug with muting on Nostr. Several clients just straight up ignore people I have already muted and they are starting to show up in my feeds.
Anyone else experience this?

I think I've read that not all relays honour mutes. And I guess it's possible when different clients use differnt sets of relays they reflect this.
Maybe someone will have a more definite answer?

The client you are muting from can make a difference here. I have noticed that #Amethyst encrypts the npubs you add to your mute list by default. This is so the people you mute can't see that you have muted them, which is pretty handy. However, a lot of clients aren't decrypting those, and are only respecting the unencrypted npubs added to your mute list.
