Which trail?
Many many years ago the North Rim (not Bill Williams trail, but the other one further East) I hiked with a buddy.
We spent 14 days in the bottom of the canyon.
It was awesome!
We stashed 2 gals of water on the Esplanade for the hike out…it was gone when we got there…Hope whole ever drank it needed it.
Anyways, how long you down there for?
That sounds awesome! I’ve got four kids under ten with me, so we just did the North Kaibab down close to the bottom and then back up.
The North Kaibab and the Bill Williams are the only two main trails up on the North side stil, right?
If so then it was the NK I did.
I remember near the top I experienced my first “cliff” negotiation.
Had to remove pack and slide down some near vertical granite at one point if I recall correctly
I believe so. There were some steep sections for sure!
