Stop complaining that there's nothing but devs, engineers, and analysts on here.

We are some of the most interesting people on the Internet and we tend to be experts at things other than code. And we're used to using half-finished software and helping make it better, so we're really useful to have as a userbase.

Our coalescing here is a feature, not a bug.

I don't understand half of what y'all say but I like it! Blow my mind everyday πŸ’―πŸ€™πŸ½πŸš€πŸ‘½βœŒπŸ½πŸ™‚

It's fun, right?

Even watching us argue is like 🍿🀌

same here πŸ˜†glad I'm not alone with this πŸ˜…

The alpha life, living on the edge

The best way to get a wider audience, is to have a bunch of computer nerds, who also geek out on Bonzai cultivation, classical homeschooling curriculum, astrophysics, Greek philosophy, Orthodox fasting calendars, Meshtastic, etc.

Then people who search for those topics start wandering in, because there actually aren't that many places where you can talk about those topics with people who understand them.

Exactly!

Just get excited about stuff and talk about it. Instead of trying to appeal to normies.

Attracting normies is a byproduct of making Nostr absolutely awesome for the early adopters.

They always talk like we don't count as users. πŸ˜‚

"...we have 10k dorks on here, talking about hierloom tomatoes and economic policy, but how do we get some real humans to come here and simp for famous people?" πŸ€”

Hahaha, yes 🀣

Love how your examples always hit home fir me. Heirloom dork community represent πŸ’ͺ.

Those organic potatoes, tho... 🀩

Potato breeding is a lost art.

Luther Burbank is my man πŸ₯” .

"We are some of the most interesting people on the Internet" lmao

It’s a good learning opportunity. I ask questions and learn. Being curious is definitely a plus here

There is a shit load of farmers and homesteaders on here, whoever keeps propagating this myth should eat a dick.

Lots of theologians, as well. πŸ₯°

Plus. Many of us have other interests and maybe want to chat. I like a diverse follow list very much. I honestly should probably follow more devs to stay in touch.

You can find plenty in my follow list.
