That's exactly what my goal is for 2025. Right now I'm in the process of mapping FOSS services/apps to my daily use-cases. Almost there, working on Google Photos replacement by self-hosting with Immich. And then it will be smooth sailing from there.
I just spun up immich on truenas today. I fucking love it.
