One aspect of the enshittification of technology is that by turning lots of items into smart devices, we speed up their obsolescence.

I hate that my 6 year old TV, which is in perfect condition, is now relatively"slow" to load streaming apps and it regularly crashes.

Highly recommend people to isolate their iot devices on sub VLANs.

firewalla has a nice feature set for the project inexperienced and no subscription.
