Western Union, the post office, a bank, money gram, pick n Pay currency conversion etc
None of it worked.
Just as I was about to keel over in a ball of sweat, a kind lady offered to help me out.
So fuck it.
She has become my mule.
If the $20 get to Zambia I will be very impressed.

What will happen to these places when bitcoin lightning network takes over? There are probaby hundreds of middlemen that get a cut, and fees for it not working and being so closed off that it has to pass thru a small syphon where they can tap in and skim from the people.. cant be soon enough

People were sending money to Gaza to pay for food and medicine for Palestinians and the Israeli government threatened them so they changed the rules

I looked it up, you must be known to each other beyond reasonable daubt not necessarily family.
And it was scammers impersonating Palestinians that caused the issue.
I just remember at the time a lot of Palestinians on tiktok complaining about it, a lot had their money frozen because scammers were impersonating them.

I looked it up and I'm mistaken, the rule is that the people must be known to each other.
They had temporarily made transfers to people in Gaza family only because of fraud, people outside Gaza impersonating Palestinians seeking donations.
they had a lot of scammers in the past abusing their services and cracked down a couple years ago.
