Most areas of legal practice should be taught like a trade school. We are essentially paper plumbs in many, many instances.

makes me think that most things, in general, should be taught like a trade school.

I think this does apply to a lot of things generally. Don’t get me wrong, some of the stuff I do requires a lot of technical legal knowledge and deep thinking, but so much legal work that non-lawyers are not permitted to do, could be done by people with practical education that doesn’t require the walled garden of Supreme Court supervised professional association. It’s a cartel.
