People in the '60s were so politically charged, angry, and revolting against the systems that divide people.

The mid-late '60s and '70s brought about such a shift in consciousness with the peace and love movement.

We are living in similar times.

Energy flows where attention goes. Awareness of a thing is much different than being consumed by it.

We must not allow ourselves to be distracted from what truly matters; what we want to see in the world.

The more we give attention to what we don't want, the more we feed it, the more we empower itโ€”and the more we give up our creative power to bring about change.

We need another peace and love movement; an elevation in consciousness. This is where I'll be spending my time and energy.

I encourage you to join me.

Second Turning vs Fourth Turning. I like where your head is at but history suggests we should buckle up.

Yeah

The populist movement failed in an Animal Farm moment because it was all heat no light

Most people can feel that the current system is failing on a massive scale

They need a creative outlet to form the replacement

A techno-spiritual revolution

I often think about the โ€™dead internet theoryโ€™. There is a good chance we are significantly more powerful than we realise. I have never stopped being a peace n lover

Psychedelics helped too

welcome to the tribe! The true power is knowing to see through facade and the order within the chaos! โ˜บ๏ธ๐Ÿซ‚

Much love, Lady Mae. I have long been with the tribe. ๐Ÿซ‚๐Ÿ’œ

The peace + love movement was good for what is was, but fizzled out a people went back to the system. It had no legs - unsustainable.

However the freedom movement is stronger. It uses the system to destroy itself.

The way forward has always been to present a better alternative, a vision of the future, to give hope - rebellion is built on hope.

It has never fizzled out, and it never will. If it did, then so would we. Is love, compassion, sharing, and peace not a foundational part of your definition of freedom?

As a movement it fizzled out. As something humanity has it never will. It ebbs and flows.

Yes, love, compassion, sharing & peace is part of the freedom movement. The interesting part of the freedom movement is it is galvanising all parts of society into a working workable community.

The love and peace movement was mainly socialist/ left leaning, the freedom movement is mainly right leaning but fighting on the grounds of right and wrong, not left and right (wing). My perception.

I hear you. I'd say the freedom movement is more libertarian in all its denominations. Much love.

The 60's peace movement was invented by the CIA to de-ligitimize the anti-war movement. It worked like a charm, as the public from then on visualized drugged out hippies every time people said "peace". This was no more a grass roots expression of the people than hip hop.

Rabbit Hole: The Laurel Canyon conspiracy !!!

Okay, but how did the story end after the 60s and 70s? Did they get what they wanted? What happened to those people later who back in the 60s and 70s put their attention on what they wanted? Could you finish telling the story, like how it all turned out for them and for all of us?
