So sad that that is exactly how intel died.
I was around Tempe in the mid 90s working for a research lab not intel, but hung out with intel fab engineers. The culture was competitive and pure!
They knew they were not a monopoly back the and could loose it fast!
Noyse, Moore, Groves and many of the Fairchildren were bold and caste from a different mold than modern leaders. Wall Street did that company no favors.
Many Napoleon maxims come to mind about how leaders or generals get stuck in the planning stages, and not taking advantage of the opportunities to actually do something.
