13 years ago today bitcoin breached dollar parity.

I remember that being the first time (of many) I thought Bitcoin was ‘too expensive’. I’ll wait for the next dip…

Just a few months later, in June, the price of one Bitcoin hit $10. And then $30. That was 100x appreciation since the beginning of the year when I had first bought bitcoin around $0.30.

The one price prediction I can make after all this time is that the sats you stack today will be so much easier than those you may try to stack ‘later’.

Now I just ignore the noise and keep stacking.

I remember passing on it at $330 or so years ago when first discovering it through my favorite torrenting website Demonoid that accepted donations in bitcoin. Didn't do any research and figured I didnt need "internet money" at the time. Never went deeper until a number of years later and so wish I had...

I didn’t fully understand it back then either. I never held on to it, just bought what I needed to transact with and that was it. I once even formatted a USB stick with a wallet that had ‘just a few bitcoins’ on it because I needed it for something else. 🙈
