I am with Mechanic on this one.

Bitcoin core guys are compromised!

They do not want the same Bitcoin as we do or need!

How is changing the default setting of a relay policy remotely being construed as compromised devs? You can run whatever the fuck you want for your node. It changes nothing. People using bitcoin in a way you don’t like changes nothing. Bitcoin is anarchy.

Deal

With

It.

Making bitcoin a potential database for dick pics is not what the world needs!

Core v30 was built as a kill switch for bitcoin. When there are enough nodes running v30 TPTB can pull the plug on bitcoin: flood the network with ilegal data and make hosting a node ilegal.

This is why the only explanation I see is that they are compromised.

You could always flood the network with illegal data. Core v30 didn’t enable anything new in this regard. People have been embedding wired shit on chain from the beginning. If Luke Dash jr is guilty of it.

Your scenario is absurd. Hosting a node would already be illegal because the chain already houses illegal data. It matters not if that data is in op return or embedded elsewhere.

I view this as a great test of your freedom. If a country tells me running a Bitcoin node is illegal then I know the country I’m in is not free.

Why endanger what was conquered?

Why increase the risks?

Core devs are not stupid, they are compromised somehow.

We need a soft fork quickly

So you want to change consensus because of a relay policy default change? Why don’t you just run the relay policy you prefer?

The soft fork is doa. The proponents of it won’t bet on their own horse when there is deep pockets asking to take the no fork side of the bet. Why would any miner mine a soft fork that has no value?

Exactly!

Big money has compromised core devs!

The community overwhelmingly did not want the increase of Opreturn, they did it anyway and bragged nobody could stop them.

That's not what bitcoin is supposed to be about.

Fuk core devs.

It is not a coincidence that the ATH coincides with the release of v30

Big op_returns already existed prior to core30 so to call this an emergency is a complete fabrication. It is this sort of dishonesty and unhinged freaking out that makes the majority laugh at you.

Removing big op returns will just mean more non prunable utxo bloat. It is impossible to stop key stuffing.

If you truly think the price has anything to do with this shit why haven’t you taken rob Hamilton up on his bet?

Core can drift, companies can grift, incentives can get weird.

Bitcoin’s immune system is simple:

run something else.

Consensus doesn’t move unless everyone moves.

If v30 feels like a toilet brush, just don’t download it. Use an alternative. If anything, knots is more secure anyway because it sticks closer to the minimalistic values that made btc money in the first place.

Less shit = smaller attack surface.

Giving up on btc because you cant trust core dev, is like chopping off your nose because you don’t like farts.

Just move away from the guy who had last nights curry..

Problem solved.
