Anyone else hate being surprised but love giving them? 😂
Discussion
Depends on the surprise👀
That’s me. I hate suprises but that’s because it’s usually something I didn’t want.
I hate getting owned & spending hours, days, weeks, months, trying to figure it all out. It’s a love/hate relationship.
The surprises I enjoy are getting 11 chicken nuggets when I ordered 10
Facts 🧡⚡️
The surprises I like are the ones where I thought I had it all figured out then I missed one small detail & then they genuinely surprised me. The surprises I like are the ones I have completely figured out & in the end was entirely correct, then, get the gratification of knowing I was right while I pretend that I am surprised to make everyone else happy.
I didn't know MacDonalds was still in business 😁
The McDonald’s nuggets are the best on the menu, can’t find 1/2 synthetic nuggets soaked/crispy fried like that anywhere else.
Pro-tip: tell the people at McDonald’s “hey? Can you surprise me with an extra nugget?” & they’ll throw in a few - PROMISE lmk if it worked 😂
I once had a cousin who used to surprise me like once every 10 minutes. It was like living with a sibling 😂🤣
I’m the kid who goes into the closet at Christmas Eve & carefully unwraps every present & back again hours before Christmas morning bc the mystery was just killin me…✨🎄❄️
I'm the kid that'd hide in the closet under a pile of clothes curled up in a ball when he didnt want to be found and just lie there silently ignoring all calls for me.
lol
your version sounds fun.
although i grew up with a dad in naval intelligence, so he was the kind that walked into a room and memorized where all the light sockets were, so we couldnt' get away with leaving things out of place, they'd have known the presents were unwrapped lol
Wow, that explains a lot. No wonder why you’re such a detailed person.
lol.
yeah i suppose it had a lot to do with it.
that and the multi disciplanary attempt at raising me:
learned chess at 6, violin at 6, etc. life without strategy, logic and reasoning/critical thinking is so boring i dont know what else to do.
but that can equally be applied in a naturalistic fashion to say, living offgrid and planting vegetables. the skills would just translate seamlessly an i'd probably notice bugs trying to eat the tomatos, or powder mold, sooner.
:)
mom really balanced things out, but yeah my parents are neat. i love them.
Oh… my wrapping skills are next-level, that’s the only reason why.
mine are too though. it's always been something i've been fascinated by. when i've unwrapped anything, ever i observe every crease fold and how much the material gives in a certain spot, how it all fits together.. etc
when i was 4 i took apart the microwave oven with a screw driver, the radio, the vaccum cleaner.. a great many other things..
I hate surprises😅
I just don't like the idea of not being in the loop 🤔
It feels like I'm being lied to, even if it's something nice, and fuck surprises parties. After a long day the last think I want is to be surprised with a bunch of people im forced to entertain when I should be able to relax
At the same time, I prefer it when people surprise me with something like food versus asking for what I want. Then I don't feel let down when they inevitably get the wrong thing 😂
I love surprising people with food or gifts, like getting my mom a new cooking utensil set because she's been using the same ones since she was in college
