It is but it’s also a sort of brain worm that erodes people’s ability to engage substantively with reality.

We’re saying the same thing 😂

I’m saying I see conservatives do it too. Though not quite as much.

Word games are literally my job, ngmi I guess.

Wouldn’t a lawyer be the opposite? Purposely using exact wording so there is zero ambiguity? Unless it’s at a federal level where you’re trying to impose laws as a catch-all for anything they don’t like.

Litigators are the opposite of transactional lawyers. I’m a litigator, which means I have to find cases to convince a judge a dog is a cat sometimes.

A lot of conservatives are socialists imo. A lot of what Trump and is doing, and proposing right now, are socialist ideas.

I’ve decided all forms of government are nascent socialist tyrannies just looking to root.

Cash vs cache.

One is "a place to store valuable things" (weapons, gold, whatever) and the other is quite literally the opposite thing, "a place that loses whatever value you put into it"

We already had the words "money" and "dollar"; bastardizing the word cache into cash was a (IMO completely unnecessary) bonus. The result is easy: no one knows how to value anything for their entire life
