Argh. I wrote this pre coffee.

My li’l bro wants me to buy bitcoin for him.

As I’m sure lots of you hold keys for loved ones, I’ll do the same.

I don’t think this 19 year old (or many 19 year olds) should be holding their own keys.

Don’t hate me self-custody puritans!! 🧡

Self-custody takes time

Yeah most 19 year olds wouldn’t understand the importance of key management.

Fuck, I’m still trying to figure the best management for mine I I been here a minute or 2

You’re a brother Joe, who’s an uncle Jim 😂

Yup, holding some for my sister until she can be bothered to go down the rabbit hole 🐇 🕳

"How are you going to allow it!? He has to assemble his Wallet and node hardware from day one!"

😁

No judgement here my man. I do the same for my loved ones. This is why nostr:npub1uq70uqgas9pyhds2zt57kr9se8rg3s68ztphjnq82ts8rzeknmeql7u0c2 is such promising tech. Combined with LNBits and LNDhub for family lightning on our nodes, we have something truly beautiful.

Little bros are the best. Do whatever you can to take care of him, and his Bitcoin. 19 is still a baby boy..

Don't worry about the haters Joe. You're 100% right. Uncle Jims are important.

I gave my neices and nephews their equal share of sats per person (244k sats) for Christmas 3 years ago. The fiat value is now pretty much the same so they haven't really caught onto the benefits and haven't stacked any more themselves per my advice!

At least they have it though. I still hold their keys just in case.

Lol my niece is 1, she has Bitcoin, she just doesn't know it yet

When I turned 7, my parents trusted me with the key to the house. I could cycle around the block, come back and open the door by myself. I've never lost the house keys.

They said 7 was "l'âge de raison"
