So the argument is evolving, Core is moving away from consensus with Knots and towards consensus with Libre Relay.

I get OP_RETURN limit is considered pointless, but it wouldn't be if all other attack vectors were shut down.

Does this really come down to native JPEGs on Bitcoin or no JPEGs on Bitcoin?

It's not exactly pointless, it still requires the spammers to use workarounds.

I don't agree with NFT artists wanting to store JPEGs on my node, but I'm prepared to accept that they are valid people doing valid things.

So my personal preference until we reach consensus about whether we want NFTs on Bitcoin is to not call them spammers.

I can accept that Mike. I would more lean towards Spammers as they as they are trying to avoid regular tx fees using the witness block and creating unspendable UTXOs and massive UTXO bloat
