Biggest advice to new shooters and beyond: do not get hung up about which gear newest and “best”. One solid fundamentals class will improve your effectiveness more than the newest gadget ever could.

Shooting competitions as well, even small local ones. It introduces time and pressure. I came in near dead last the first few I shot but those were when I learned the most
