Get on TikTok and spread the word. 🤣

An easier onboarding process - something self explanatory without the need for a non-tech user to view a tutorial to setup his nostr account.

aren't you a Gen Z'er? can't you ask yourself this question? 😆

😂😂😂😂💜🫂

🤣🤣

Y’all are really making me feel like a kid here 🤣🤣🤣 make it stop

My social media consumption differs and isn’t aligned with other people my age. Maybe a more of a ‘mainstream’ consumer would be a much better reference point 🤔

NostrTok?

No need for TikTok

Time for TickBlock

TikTok NextBlok

I hear there’s a purple pill

Social consensus. The right “influencer” would bring a lot of people onboard

Simple as? Is there any certain kind of ‘influencers’ that you’d like to move here? 🤔

Mr Beast

Mr Beast strengths are in figuring out and ‘abusing’ the algorithm. Without any, I don’t think he would thrive here. Furthermore, I don’t think it just takes him posting here, but instead it would require him posting Nostr audience focused content instead 💜

I know. He is also a loyal YouTuber. Just one of the only young influencers I know 😂

The challenge is that no ‘influencer’ is going to want to give up their follower list on other platforms. It is going to take a hard censorship in order to awaken someone enough to see the value proposition that nostr offers

Mr. ₿east 😏

More initiative from nostr users on other social media platforms to onboard their friends, fanboys, followers, mum, wife, girlfriend and everyone else.

And then we need to keep variety in our content. A few months ago we had so much content on here. Now Bitcoin is usually the topic of the day (inc from myself). There is hundreds of millions of people out there with thousands of different interest. I can see that nostr, at least at a first glance, may not appeal to them.

I have tried this and got no response. As a non techy I have a hard time explaining how it all works so I’m probably making it sound really lame 😂

You pointed out the problem. Leave the tech out of it and just bring them here "for the fun". Or any other reason. I brought some friends over from Shitter by sharing funny nostr content there.

Fair enough, not everyone stayed but at least some of them took a peak and some stayed.

It's like orange pilling someone and you start with.. you know the blockchain protocol works like... and Nakamoto consensus... and proof-of-work and 4-year deflation cycles.

Not the way. Tell them it's just money. the best money out there and no "you're not investing in Bitcoin", you're exchanging one currency for another just like you do when you travel abroad and guess what, you can exchange it back to your currency at any time - works much better!

I don’t want to make it sound like the tech could be removed but personally the only way I could take the tech was because of the other stuff created that I could relate to and build from. Then slowly adding the tech to learn.

That’s a tough question. Get the people they follow to create accounts on Nostr? Teach them about the lightning network vs the classic banking system.

They like to share things but make no money. Get them to realize they can get paid even if they are not an “influencer”

Show them all they apps they use can be on Nostr and most #devs are available for feedback, changes or new features that can happen much faster.

I also agree with more big online personalities joining it will be an incentive to see their posts on here because you actually get to see them unlike other social medias where you don’t always see what you follow

genZ believes the hype, every hype ... so nostr "just" needs to get hyped. if you know taylor swift, invite her please ... and here we go 😬

#[3] I have a simple request for you 💜

i’ll try… i will say everytime i bring it up to my friends they like it, join, then ever use it

same here, they post 2-3 things and that's it

They’ll need a delete post feature and probably a phone book integration for finding their friends on the platform.
