Sometimes we need to check our cynicism.
They put the guy through nearly a decade of lawfare and then tried to assassinate him twice.
Trump is not one of the good ol' boys. He doesn't play ball by their rules and he can't be controlled. He's a wild card, and that's bad for their business.
