Usually they have .apk files to download under the releases section

Don't. Use obtanium to do it for you.

Are you tryna compile it yourself?

Usually there’s a .apk file, but make sure it is signed by a dev you trust

Otherwise compile it yourself

Success. Thank you 🫡

Like Verita84 said there is a section in github called releases or in tags, that has apk files, you just download and android will ask you if you want to install. For open source apps there is zap.store app based on Nostr that installs the app directly from github, there is also obtainium app but it's a bit harder to setup.

Go to apps github, go to releases c/p the url

Use Obtainium

Click add app enter URL address then install app

Are you trying download APK files to install, from GitHub?

Or are you trying to build the apps from the source code, from GitHub?

Obtainium or zap.store

Pretty simple, just follow my numbered tutorial below here 😆

Depending on what you're trying to download it could be different methods though. Let me know if you need more help.

Thanks for asking this. Discovered something new.

this may not be entirely what you were looking to do, but check out zap.store or Obtainium. I use these apps to act as my open source app stores to install apps from GitHub.

Yes I got zap.store and it worked great.

Thanks Derek 🫡
