Usually it does that for just a second or two, then a popup shows asking me which wallet I want to send from.
1. Did you install other bitcoin wallets?
2. Have you tried killing #Amethyst and opening it again?
1. I only have the one coinos wallet.
2. I just restarted amethyst (went to settings as well and did force stop) and it's still not working.
Thank you for the reply.
Oh I see, are you using nostr wallet connect (NWC)?
Yes I believe so. I have the wallet connect pub key and secret key filled out. I copied them from coinos.
I looked at the fields and they match what is shown on coinos
I'll call on the masters. I hit a brick wall.
Thank you for the help Barry!
You might try adding relay.coinos.io to your list of relays in Amethyst even though it's already the NWC relay. I think doing that helped the last time someone ran into this issue.
I do have relay.coinos.io added to the general relay list as well.
It started working. Thanks for the help!
Try zapping another user. Some users you will be unable to send zaps to if they have configured zaps incorrectly on their side. I zap a dozen or so people a day, and this happens to me once every few days.
Ok, I'll give it some time I guess lol.
I did try messing around in the relay settings a while ago. I still don't really understand how those work or what they do. Not sure if that may have caused a problem. I didn't change the NWC relay though: that is still relay.coinos.
I'll try zapping some more and see if this persists:
You can think of relays like e-mail servers. You may be on the gmail.com relay, another person on the outlook.com relay, but you can both send messages back and forth to each other. Most apps connect to several relays by default. Which relays you are connected to determines what is in your "global" feed, which is curated by your app into "trending" or whatever other sections it may have. As long as you have one working relay, you are good, most users never need to modify their relay list and this is aok.
Thank you! So I guess it's unlikely I messed things up too badly.
And I see there are different types of relays, "public outbox" relays, "public inbox" relays "home" relays and "DM" relays. And seems you can turn them off and on by clicking the green symbols (Pic rel)
I guess I'll figure out what that all means in time. I have much to learn. Thank you again.
