I think it's so funny that people report explicitly NSFW 18+ accounts for nudity. Like we all know there is nudity. We can see that plainly. You can just block them and move on, but for some reason you gotta make sure to report them for nudity. That's not very cash money of ya. It's giving rules for thee but not for me

Don’t use clients that use reports to automatically flag them 👌

I'm on Android, so I can't use your beautiful damus app :(

what client would you recommend?

I don’t recommend any android client atm sorry :(

I shall stay patient for now then.

I would love to see an NSFW blur option implemented for amethyst. Honeslty I think as long as people aren't seeing "surprise titties" they'd be more chill about it all

Have you tried Iris?

I have on the web and while it was elegant with its interface it felt clunky.

The android app also looking like a Web app turned me off a bit as well

Plebstr has the slickest UX. It's still early development so missing a few things but very reliable and user friendly.

I have it downloaded and it's quite nice. Just wish the zapping was smoother and waiting for some kinks to get ironed out

Yeah same here. Main client I use is still Amethyst but I keep an eye on Plebstr and check it out when it's updated. When it's further along I think it'll be the best client for Android. It's already best for UX.

we're pretty much in the same boat then

I use a very crappy phone and https://github.com/kaiwolfram/Nozzle/releases/ has been working well for me. It doesn't have all features in the world, but I mostly don't need them on my phone anyway and it is fast.

> Relay selector for feed, replying and posting

Every client should have this. Excellent idea to create separate interest based communities within Nostr. Could even build a Nostr Reddit on top using that concept.

exactly.

the human figure is beautiful

and I for one like a healthy dose of ass and titties to wash my coffee down with in the morning

I always found the puritan attitude of society so stupid and pointless.

Even as a kid I was confused as to why I could watch movies where people are blown up or shot but if there's sex it's bad.

Makes no fuckin sense.

Anyway if you like tits follow my gf trust me 😉

#[5]

you're definitely getting followed as well!

I couldn't have said it better myself

Everyone has _something_ they don't want to see - ergo, reporting. (CSAM is on most people's list).

For starters there are the legal issues with some content - whether you agree with the laws or not - some of us just don't want the hassle of being dragged into court. I have a forum site which had a pretty active section discussing escorts in London. But when FOSTA/SESTA came out, even though they weren't talking about US-based escorts, because I and my server were US-based I had to close that section of the site. Didn't want to, but had to anyway. The users on my forum site are pretty protective about the site. When they see potentially illegal content they report it. Not because they agree with the law, but because reporting it protects something they care about (the site).

Then there are cultural norms. Even if a user is OK with content, their culture may dictate that certain types of content aren't OK in certain situations (e.g. when they're at work). So content moderation is needed then too.

One of the pending PRs suggests turning Kind 1984 reports into "labels" to make it less about narcing on someone. I like the change in focus that would bring. Then you make use of the labels you find most useful.

So there are many reasons for content moderation besides "prudes will be prudes"…

thank you for the well written out and thoughtful response :)

That's not what OP was saying though.

Yes of course we need a way to report CP.

But an adult who wants to post nudez on their account and tags those posts accordingly (nsfw) should be able to do so.

Those who don't want to see it can choose not to follow it. I would imagine a feature we'll have soon is filtering keywords from our feeds, it's an obvious functionality that's implemented on the bird app and I remember using a plugin on Tumblr for the same.

So if you post tits and tag #boobstr and #nsfw someone with those tags filtered wouldn't even see it.

Which accounts? 👀

#[4] mainly, but hit my dm's and I'll slide you some others

and #[4]

Yeah that’s shouldn’t happen I guess. They go to #nostr because the other centralized social medias block or suspended their accounts or simply censor pics. Maybe there is other ways how to manage it here but definitely not flag or report 🤷‍♂️

Who are they reporting too?
