I still don't like the grey backround for the original post while replies below have transparent background. I would do the opposite: imo this would prioritize the first post from a user perspective.
i believe that designers avoid pure black and pure white. people find them hard to look at and i have to agree. for some reason, “almost black” and “almost white” are nicer to my eyes

Would love to have an option to have og color back. Pure black is too harsh in this context for me. Also liked to have something different with iris colorwise :) Now it looks just like the others :) Nak from me.
Looks pretty 🔥 in OLED black.
A huge improvement in accessibility just with that change. The contrast between the dark background and the gray fonts was terrible. Customization for themes and individual colors and font selection would be much better, but that's a start.
Ah, I replied before actually checking it! Not that much of an improvement, really, since they still keep light gray fonts on dark gray background. And they're "bold", which makes them ever harder to read.
