Good morning nostr, i've been fumbling with moving over to a newer phone, and its kinda time consuming. I've had the new one for a while, but had been putting it off for this reason. Since i use graphene, its not as simple as just signing in to apple or google, and all your stuff is magically there. But i would never go back to either of those. Anyway, its rainy and yucky outside again, so i'll see what i can get done. Yall have a great wednesday, enjoy your coffee, and do your work with a happy heart. #grownostr #coffeechain #graphene

GM ☀️☕️

It happened to me last month and it took me a bit to adjust and get up to speed but once you do it’s smooth sailings ⛵️

Yeah, my old phone was graphene too, it just takes a bit of work to move everything over manually.

GM!

Good luck with the switch over. Always intensive but amazing when completed

Have a nice day 💜🫡

Gm maria.

Good morning 🌞

We're back to rain and temperatures in the 70s here. Are you taking about the pixel?

Yes, its the used pixel 8 i bought a while back. Been procrastinating switching over, but my old one has graphene on it too, its just not automatic transfer like a regular phone.

Good morning! Getting familiar with a new phone can be challenging enough without the added complications of a secure OS. Good luck and God speed.

Good morning. Raining here too.

Good morning Maria

Nice cup!

Use the built in seed vault feature to backup the old Graphene and restore to the new? 🤷 Try it without the app's, and just back up legacy text messages (SMS), call logs, WiFi networks, settings, etc. Do the app's separately as a separate backup and restore or one by one the way you are probably already doing it..

I actually tried that, and most of them worked, but i still had to manually transfer stuff. And i use different profiles, so wasnt sure how that worked. But i've just about got it now, thanks.

What device are you using? I was just eyeing the Brax3 privacy phone

This is just a used pixel 8 that i bought on ebay. Flashed graphene on it, with the help of

But my first graphene phone i bought from Above Phone, they have great support for newbies, and the guys there are all great.

Holler at me if you need any help with it. A lot of the FOSS apps will have a data export/import option, so that makes it a little easier.

Thank you! I did use some of those backup options on some of the apps, so that helped. Just about done now, all fresh and new. It was actually a good chance to do some cleanup on the phone.😊

Okay, excellent. I need to swap Cheese Jr. over to a 6a from a 5a and I keep putting it off. It's not...bad, necessarily...but it requires some dedicated time. If it's my own stuff I'll put it off forever. I'd work on somebody else's in a heartbeat, though. 😂

I know what you mean😊. Its cool that you're starting off your son the right way.

Gotta break the cycle somewhere. It must be working. He keeps ranting about the chromebooks at the school wanting his email and birthdate. He gives them the school email and 11/5/1955. 😂

He's already a rebel! Good work😊
