Well, it seems the recipe app of the future is here, and it's chatgpt / chatgpt-based apps.

You can give it any prompt and it gives you exactly what you asked for. Prompt by ingredients, lack of ingredients, cuisine type, allergies .. whatever, and it gives you a nicely formatted recipe, with an image, step by step instructions.

The only thing that is missing is video.

This is what any nostr recipe app has to compete with.

One option is to have AI-generated recipes, and user-submitted recipes side by side. You can browse existing recipes, or prompt it for more advanced functionality.

Anything less than this is not a recipe app of the future.

The only thing lacking are reviews. I base a lot of my selections on the reviews of others.

Maybe once you like a recipe you can bookmark it and that gets added as a nostr note? I dunno how that would work but the idea is to save it so others can rate it

Yeah, that would work. And then if I was using AI to generate something it would bring up past recipes based on the type of dish or ingredients. Then I could select the one I generated, or the one with the highest review.

The cat-in-the-box theory, whether full or empty, depends on you. The goal is 5 million, but the choice between the full or empty box is yours.

Changes the entire game on all fronts. Seo kids gonna be in for upheavals. The ad based model is gonna be weird all around. All UI / user experience books need throwing out or massively evolved.

I like that idea... I get that it's a task chatgpt would be proficient at performing, but cooking is such a human experience. I think I would always lean toward that first, then go outward if I couldn't find what I was looking for. I don't know if I am center enough to be considered "most" as far as user base goes though.

Food can be very sentimental to people. Many find comfort in recipes they receive from relatives. It will be interesting to see how it changes.

Dynamic measuring.

The recipe scales based on the portion you select.

Yeah I think a bot would do this well. Maybe have plate size selection
