Last March, I began a personal challenge to do 50 pushups every morning. Where I basically roll off the bed, drop to the ground and crank those things out first thing. I may have missed 2 -3 days since March. This challenge was suppose to last a week, then a month. Well here we are now 6 months later.

Today I did 100. My body was already aching from the garage session earlier this week. So might as well give it some additional reasons for complaint.

Top effort mate, that’s awesome. Need to get this going myself.

I just got back to lifting Friday. Had a 100/day push-up regime but fell out of it before summer. Reading yours has me dropping to the ground this am! Thanks bud! πŸ’œ πŸ’ͺ

Any other fitness regimens, or just this. What have you noticed? Physical changes in upper body or improved attention and alertness earlier in the day? Recommend or nah?

In the summer most of my exercise is yard work, 20-30k steps per day.

Otherwise, weights 3 days per week 5 mile run 3 days per week. My pace varies from 9 -11 minute miles depending on the dog.

Doing a half marathon in November. This has been an annual tradition for about 10 out of the last 15 years.

The biggest thing I've noticed is that, I used to rely on my first cup of coffee to gradually fire up my mind/body. The drop pushups typically have the juices flowing by the time I make it down to the kitchen for my first cup of coffee.
